Hygeia Grand: A Luxurious Health Management Center

Redesigning the Stereotype of Health Management Centers

The Hygeia Grand, named after the Greek goddess of health, is a stunning and elegant health management center designed by Chun Han Lee. Breaking away from the traditional image of health centers, this project combines luxury and art to create a space that is both fashionable and functional.

With the Hygeia Grand, Chun Han Lee aimed to transform the perception of health management centers. By infusing an art atmosphere into the design, the center becomes a quality space that challenges the stereotype of clinical environments. The goal was to create a commercial space that exudes exquisite aesthetics while providing top-notch health services.

One of the unique features of the Hygeia Grand is the use of different end views at the corners to define specific areas such as the reception, administrative, and consulting areas. The application of arcs throughout the design creates a soft and flowing visual focus that connects the styles of the ceiling, counter, and TV wall, resulting in an open and spacious interior.

The use of rose gold titanium adds a touch of nobility to the overall vision of the center. Luxurious beauty is introduced through the metal logos on the major visual wall, counter, chair feet, and other elements. These details contribute to the overall aesthetic and elevate the space to a new level of sophistication.

In terms of realization technology, the Hygeia Grand utilizes white as the base color for the overall space, creating a clean and bright atmosphere. Elements such as mirrors, marble, titanium, and molding are incorporated to add a sense of luxury and texture. The application of arc elements not only enhances the flow of the space but also creates a dynamic energy throughout.

The center is designed to provide a seamless experience for visitors. The large arc at the entrance naturally leads clients to the counter, where they can receive the necessary services. After the consultation, the sofa area provides a comfortable waiting space. The TV wall serves as an extension of the design element of the counter, further enhancing the visual focus. The clinic and consulting rooms are designed in earth tones, creating a warm and relaxing environment for clients.

Despite the challenges posed by the 2.1-meter ceiling height, Chun Han Lee successfully overcame them by maximizing the use of arcs and connecting the overall flow of the space. The integration and unification of all elements were achieved through the application of molding and rose gold materials. Natural stone was strategically placed on the walls to connect the entrance, counter, and artistic end views, ensuring a smooth flow throughout the center.

The Hygeia Grand project was completed in Taipei from July to October 2018. The design was meticulously researched, with white serving as the base color to create a clean and noble atmosphere. The use of gloss surface materials adds to the overall aesthetic, while the imported tiles on the floor and walls minimize gaps and seams, visually expanding the space.

This exceptional design has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is a testament to the Hygeia Grand's well-designed, practical, and innovative approach, meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
